welcome to my blog, I hope you have a lovely time here.

♥ Coconut oil – Naturally antibacterial and beautifully nourishing for your skin.
♥ Baking soda – Absorbs underarm odour like a champ. (If your skin is on the sensitive side, just use a little less.)
♥ Arrowroot powder – Gives a silky smooth texture and helps bind everything together. You can swap this for cornflour if that’s what you have on hand.
♥ Essential oils – Pick oils that are both antibacterial and odour-busting, such as lavender, tea tree, eucalyptus, peppermint, and citrus (lemon or orange). Feeling groovy? Add a dash of patchouli for extra yumminess.
♥ Shea butter & beeswax – Want a firmer, balm-like deodorant? Add these into the mix and follow Method 2 for a solid version.
4–5 dessert spoons coconut oil
2 heaped teaspoons baking soda
2 heaped teaspoons arrowroot (or swap for cornflour)
Mix everything together in a bowl, then add 10–15 drops of your chosen essential oils.
Pour into a glass jar and leave to set.
👉 This mixture works beautifully but may melt in warmer weather (hello, Aussie summers 🌞). If it softens too much, just keep it in the fridge and scoop out with a spoon to apply.
2 teaspoons beeswax pellets
2 dessert spoons shea butter
4 dessert spoons coconut oil
2 heaped teaspoons arrowroot
2 heaped teaspoons baking soda
10–15 drops essential oil
Melt the beeswax in a double boiler.
Remove from heat and stir in the shea butter and coconut oil.
Once combined, add arrowroot, baking soda, and finally the essential oils.
Pour into a glass jar and leave to set.
✨ And that’s it — you’re good to go! ✨
Most of all, have fun. Play around with the ingredients to find what works best for you.
Add more beeswax for a firmer balm.
Try deodorant sticks or even sprays.
Experiment with different oil blends for your own signature scent.
There’s so much magic to create with these simple ingredients — this is just the beginning.
Love,
Anna x 💛
