Welcome to She Hunts Op Shops
I’m Anna, and I live in Dunedin, New Zealand with my husband Sean and our daughter Frankie (age 9). Sean and I met over 20 years ago, travelled the world together, and eventually planted our roots in this beautiful corner of Aotearoa.
🌿 At She Hunts Op Shops, I create unique and quirky guides to op shops and nature-based adventures. With a camera in hand (and often Sean or Frankie tagging along), I shine a spotlight on hidden treasure troves, whether they’re tucked away in small country towns or sitting in the heart of a bustling city.
Beyond op shops, I’m passionate about sustainability, mental health, sharing tips on recycling, low-waste living, worm farming, and generally just trying to be a good human.
I’m also the founder of Pixie Rouge Photography, a creative business I ran for over a decade. Known for dreamy boho wedding photography and natural, soulful newborn portraits, I built a reputation for capturing authentic stories with heart. My work has been published, adored by couples and families, and often booked years in advance, a testament to the trust and love people place in my creative eye.
Alongside all this, Sean & I also co-own & run Awamoa Sanitation in Ōamaru. From portaloo hire to septic tank cleaning and grease trap servicing, I get stuck into the jobs most people don’t even want to think about. And because I believe sustainability belongs everywhere, I’m always looking at new ways to make even the waste world greener, after all, 💩 can power a lot more than you think!
