Frankie & Mama

I set about to create a time-lapse of my whole day with Frankie 😍

These videos are so very precious to have, and in all honesty, they really do not take much effort to make (even though they are exhausting to watch!) 😂

I used a Canon 80D to film these and I set it up on a tripod most of the time.
The 80D has auto focus - which does play a big part in the quality of these films.
I edited it in Final Cut Pro, the whole edit process took me about 2 or 3 hours to do. I was not terribly fussy with colour correction and such.

These films would be very easy to create using your mobile phone too. If you invest in a simple phone tripod, I suggest taking a good bunch of snippets of filming for your day. Im talking about 50 - 100 short films, all throughout your day.

Don’t forget to add movement and life to your film by taking shots where you are holding the camera and getting right into situations, but make it professional too by setting a scene with your tripod - its addictive once you start! Promise!
If you know one film is bad, delete it, re-film if possible - and move on. Try and make each short film as perfect as it can be to avoid any annoying editing and trimming when stitching it all together.

Then you simply quickly scan each film snippet and trim if needed.
Then create a movie in your phone gallery, selecting all the films in order you filmed them.
Preview and modify as needed, add (licensed) music and speed up the film pace with your app.

I encourage you to have a little play if you are inspired to make memories like this with your children!
