welcome to my blog, I hope you have a lovely time here.

The Shoalhaven region on the NSW South Coast has a way of stealing your heart the moment you roll in — lush landscapes, vintage charm, and a whole lot of soul.
We spent two dreamy nights in Kangaroo Valley and one in Nowra.
Nowra’s just a stunning 30-minute drive through the forest, so if you’d prefer a slower stay, you could easily base yourself in Kangaroo Valley and take a day trip to explore Nowra’s treasure trove of op shops.
Come home to your cosy country digs and admire your haul of secondhand gold ✌️🌿
There’s so much to see and do in Kangaroo Valley (check out the links at the end of this blog!).
If you’re there on the second Sunday of the month, the village has a gorgeous, laid-back buzz thanks to the Farmers Market in the morning. Stroll the main street, chat with the locals (you won’t have to try hard!), and definitely poke your head into the General Store — it’s a gem. Keep an eye out for Skeeter the cat, usually snoozing on his favourite chair!
Don’t miss the vintage stores dotted through the village — and you must pop over to Hampden Deli. One of the most luxurious ways to spend an afternoon is to order one of their gorgeous hampers and wander down to the river’s edge for a slow, dreamy picnic.
Opulence, darling.
If you’re up for a little adventure, we highly recommend the Three Views Walking Track — especially for the stunning outlook over Lake Yarrunga. Even with our toddler in a carry pack, the track was easy, scenic, and absolutely worth it.
The views? Breathtaking. Truly one of those walks that feeds your soul.
One spot we absolutely loved was Betty’s Bar — perfect for a cosy lunch or dinner.
This quirky little gem is tucked just past Hampden Bridge, slightly out of the main village, so it’s easy to miss if you’re new in town. But trust us — don’t skip it if you’re in the area!
They serve unreal slow-cooked meals made from sustainably sourced local produce, plus wicked coffee roasted right there on site. It’s relaxed, soulful, and absolutely worth the detour.
You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to accommodation in Kangaroo Valley — but lucky for you, we’ve found the absolute best spots to make your holiday planning a breeze ✌️
Our hands-down favourite? Brogers End.
This beautifully rustic property offers two charming dwellings to choose from, both eco-friendly and kid-friendly, with thoughtful touches like a herb garden, friendly chickens, and all the comforts you need for the best sleep EVER.
We fell head over heels for Brogers End — it’s one of those places that stays with you long after you leave.
But hey... I’ll let this video and these photos do the talking 👇
