Volunteering at NICU
One thing I’d love to share — our daughter Frankie was born five weeks premature, and we spent two weeks in the Royal Women’s NICU ward. The love and care we received there was beyond words; it completely blew us away.
I’d always wanted to volunteer somewhere meaningful — for years I thought it would be with the Children’s Cancer Foundation, having gone through cancer myself at 15. But after our time in NICU, my heart knew exactly where it needed to be.
So I began reaching out to the hospital, in every way I could, for a whole year 😅 — asking if I could volunteer as a photographer, capturing families in the ward and gifting them albums, completely free. It was a delicate request, and it took time and gentle persistence for the idea to take root.
But it happened. And I’m so glad it did.
I’ve now been volunteering at The Royal Women’s Hospital for almost a year, photographing more than 80 incredible families and giving them each a gallery of love — no strings attached, just because I can. It has been the most humbling, heartwarming project I’ve ever been part of. All my love goes to NICU, the extraordinary families I’ve met there, and the little warriors who inspire me every single day. ❤️ The Royal Womens Hospital ❤️
Photography is my passion. I love that my work surrounds me with so much happiness and joy. Creativity has always been my anchor, and outside of photography I adore spending time with my little hippy tribe — Sean and our flower child Frankie. You’ll often find me collecting vinyl, hitting the road on spontaneous trips, digging through op shops, tending the garden, cooking up something delicious, or strumming my guitar.
So, what’s my style? Organic, natural, and a little bit soulful. I’m drawn to those in-between moments — the unplanned, the funny, the emotional — the ones that truly tell the story. I’m always amazed at the privilege of being invited into people’s lives to capture their milestones. And I know the best, most candid moments happen when you’re at ease, so I work hard to create a relaxed environment where joy flows freely. The result? Natural, heartfelt images that feel real.
Whether it’s a wedding, a newborn snuggle, or an everyday family adventure, I pour my energy into both the shoot and the final edit, ensuring your images are beautiful, timeless, and inspiring.
